Valterra Platinum is inviting applications for its Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2 Unemployed). This opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals who want to gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and build a career in the mining and engineering industry.
This programme is designed for people who are eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution in a purpose-driven environment.
What the Programme Offers
The learnership provides:
- Structured off-the-job and workplace training
- Practical exposure within the engineering field
- The opportunity to work toward a nationally recognised Artisan qualification upon successful completion

- Measurement Control and Instrumentation Learnership x1
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following academic requirements:
- Matric with:
- Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
- Physical Science
- English
- Minimum 40% pass in all subjects
OR
- N2 or higher qualification with subjects relevant to the discipline, including:
- Instrument Trade Theory or Industrial Instrumentation
- Industrial Electronics
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
OR
- NCV Level 4 in an appropriate trade, with all subjects passed at a minimum of 40%
Required Documents

- Certified copies of all relevant qualifications
- Copy of South African ID
- Proof of residence for applicants from host communities, stamped by the relevant tribal office or municipality
