Valterra Platinum invites applications for the Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2 – Unemployed)—a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build technical expertise, and explore the dynamic world of engineering within the mining industry.
What the Programme Offers
- Structured learning that includes both theoretical (off-the-job) and practical (workplace) training.
- Upon successful completion, learners will obtain a nationally recognised Artisan Qualification.

Qualifications
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% in each), OR
- N3 or higher, meeting subject requirements for the relevant discipline:
- Boilermaker Plater: Plating & Structural Steelwork/Welders Theory and Plating, Structural & Steelwork Drawings
- Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory/Electrotechnology/Electrotechnics and Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings
- NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed at a minimum of 40%
