We are currently seeking a proactive, reliable, and adaptable General Assistant to join our Fedics division. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys hands-on work, and values excellent customer service. You will support daily kitchen and service operations to ensure smooth workflow across departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with company and statutory hygiene and cleanliness regulations.
- Maintain all quality standards related to food service, health and safety, and operational processes.
- Assist with meal preparation, particularly salads, desserts, and other cold dishes.
- Serve entrées, salads, desserts, and other food items on the serving line.
- Keep the serving area well-stocked, clean, and organised at all times.
- Assist with the training of new employees when required.
- Properly store and record leftover food according to procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in the canteen, kitchen, dining area, and all other designated spaces.
- Ensure customer expectations are met in line with contractual service levels.
- Deliver excellent customer service within your designated area.
- Where applicable, count stock and hand it over to the next shift as per company procedures.
- Carry out any reasonable task requested by management.
- Report customer complaints or compliments and take action where possible.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by management.

- Physically fit with the stamina to work 45–50 hours per week.
- Ability to bend, stand for long periods, and lift items safely.
Qualifications
- A matric / senior certificate is required.
