Trades Available
The apprenticeship programme is available in the following trades:
- Boilermaker
- Fitter
- Toolmaker
- Millwright
Purpose of the Role
As an apprentice, you will commit your time, effort, and energy to learning and developing practical trade skills. In return, Sandvik will invest in your training and development, helping you build the competencies needed for a successful career. The training institution will also play an important role in supporting your learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the apprenticeship programme, you will be expected to:
- Follow the conditions of the relevant employment agreement or award
- Attend work and carry out duties as directed
- Maintain professional and respectful behaviour at all times
- Follow all lawful instructions given by supervisors
- Work towards achieving the competencies outlined in the training plan
- Complete all required training and assessments
- Keep an accurate training record and present it when needed
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science, or
- An N3 Engineering Certificate, or an equivalent qualification
Strong academic performance in the above qualifications will be an added advantage.
