Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • No experience required (entry-level opportunity)
  • Basic knowledge of administrative procedures
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • A computer certificate or subject from a DHET-registered institution
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of clerical duties and data capturing

Advantage (Not Required)

  • 2–5 years’ experience in patient administration
  • Diploma or degree in administration
  • Knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (e.g., MEDICOM)

Job Responsibilities

As an Administration Clerk, your duties will include:

  • Performing general administrative tasks
  • Capturing and updating patient information
  • Registering patient appointments and admissions
  • Handling patient records and files
  • Responding to public enquiries
  • Assisting with billing and data accuracy
  • Maintaining hospital records and statistics
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures
  • Supporting hospital departments and supervisors

You may also be required to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
