Requirements:
- Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 / vocational studies or an equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read and write.
- Must be able to communicate in more than one official language.
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and relevant legislative prescripts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport patients safely from one point to another within the hospital.
- Assist with off-loading patients from private vehicles and ambulances.
- Ensure the availability of clean wheelchairs and stretchers for patient use.
- Provide assistance in the mortuary during weekends, after hours, and public holidays.
- Record mortuary temperatures during weekends and public holidays.
- Push patients using stretchers or wheelchairs when required.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
